Troodos and Kykkos
Enjoy this day tour to the mountains of Troodos and visit the world famous Kykkos Monastery.
Hop on board the air-conditioned bus and travel high in the pine-clad Troodos Mountain. First stop of the day will be at Kakopetria village where you will be given the opportunity for a short guided walk through the old quarter of the village, with its narrow, stone-paved alleys and some restored houses with their wooden balconies. The old quarter of the village has been declared a protected heritage site. Lunch will follow in a nearby mountain village. The second stop will be at Kykkos Monastery, ornately decorated with wonderful mosaics in bright colours. It is also renowned for its wealth, with many gold icons and beautifully preserved frescoes. On your way back to the hotel a convenience stop is planned.
