 Welcome to Nepal and the start of your holiday!
 
Upon your arrival at the international airport, you will be received by our representative will assist you with a warm welcome by putting a flower garland and then board a car for a ride to Nagarkot, a hilltop village commanding a spectacular vista of Nepal's major Himalayan peaks. Located to the east of Kathmandu.
Upon arrival in Nagarkot, we may have the opportunity to see the sun set over the Himalayas, if the weather cooperates.
We check in to our hotel and here a short briefing will be done about the itinerary and the dos and don’ts along with a welcome drink for about 15 minutes. We then hand over the keys to the respective rooms of the guests.

Nagarkot is a village and Village Development Committee located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 3,504 and had 655 houses in it. At an elevation of 2175 meters, it is considered one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur District. It is renowned for its sunrise view of the Himalaya including Mount Everest as well as other snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley.
 
Today, we will have a short walk around the village where we have the chance to meet a local people and experience their day to day activities. The remainder of the day is at leisure amid the stunning Himalayan scenery.

AM: Drive to back to Kathmandu en-route visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square
 
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 8 miles east of Kathmandu, is a conch shell-shaped town with palaces, temples, statues, and pedestrian-only streets. It is known for its pottery and weaving industries, and is home to artistic masterpieces like the 55-Windows Palace and the Taleju temple complex.
 
We then continue our tour by visiting a Pottery Square to enhance our knowledge of Potter-. – Depending upon weather and festival day
 
We will savour a local yogurt "Juju Dhau" (King Curd):
Juju Dhau is a traditional Newari yogurt that holds a special place in the culinary heritage of Bhaktapur. It is often referred to as the "King Curd" due to its superior taste and creamy texture.

PM: Sightseeing Tour of Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhnath Stupa
 
Pashupatinath temple: One of the most sacred Hindu shrines in the world, Pashupatinath lies in the bank of river Bagmati. The two-storied pagoda houses a sacred lingum, or the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva. Although the temple dates back to the 4th century, it was brought into its present shape in the early 18th century. The temple is most noted for its gold-plated roofs and silver-coated doors. Sadhus and sages, who follow the lifestyle of Lord Shiva, are seen covered with ashes and loincloths. The banks of the river Bagmati, is also considered one of the holiest places in which to get cremated and cremations can be witnessed here. All tourists are requested that certain respect is shown for the grieving.
 
Continue to Boudhanath, possibly the world's largest Buddhist stupa and a site of great veneration for Buddhists. Around the stupa have sprung up number of monasteries of the different sects of Tibetan Buddhism including one (on the west side of the stupa) that houses an enormous seated statue of Maitreya Buddha splendidly adorned.

AM: Then we proceed for a sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu city
 
Swayambhunath Stupa: A golden spire crowning a conical wooded hill, Swayambhunath Stupa is the most ancient and enigmatic of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Its lofty white dome and glittering golden spires are visible from many miles and from all sides of the valley. Historical records found on a stone inscription give evidence that the Stupa was already an important Buddhist pilgrimage destination by the 5th century AD.
 
Kathmandu City: The seat of royalty till the last century, Kathmandu Durbar Square is a wondrous cluster of ancient temples, palaces, courtyards and streets. Kumari, the living Goddess, the stone carved statue of ferocious Kal Bhairav, erotic carvings glorifying the art works in the temples, the giant temple of the Goddess Taleju and image of Shiva and Parvati peering outside through the window are just a few of the most noteworthy attractions in the area. One can't help but admire the exceptionally attractive woodcarvings, statues and buildings that are cluster in the area.
 
We will also have a light experience of the Rickshaw ride into the hustle and bustle road of the Durbar Square.

PM: Visit Patan City
 
Patan City: Nowhere else can be seen such a compression of marvelous monuments within a limited space like in the Patan Durbar Square. Besides the old royal palace, which dominates all others in grace and grandeur, here is the 17th-century Krishna Mandir. Entirely made of stone, this shikhara-style structure with 21 pinnacles is dedicated to Lord Krishna, a savior deity in Hindu pantheon, and is equally noted for rare stone carvings on its walls, which depict various episodes of the epic wars of Ramayana and Mahabharata. Other landmarks within the Square are Tusha-hity (water spout), Sundari Chowk, Taleju Temple and the Keshav Narayan Chowk. Walk through the alley to Hiranyavarna Mahavihar (Golden temple).

AM - PM: We proceed for a sightseeing tour of Kirtipur and Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery
 
Kirtipur: Kirtipur is one of the oldest cities of Nepal and is originally dominated by the Newars. It is situated about 5 kilometers south-west of the Kathmandu city. The city gained its name from Sanskrit where ‘Kirti’ means Glory and ‘Pur’ means City. Thus, the name of the city means the city of Glory. It carries its own history and has many places to visit around. Here are some of the destinations in Kirtipur: Bagh Bhairab Temple, Chilancho Stupa, Dev Pukku, Uma Maheshwar Temple and Shri Kirti Bihar.
 
Continued to visit the Neydo Tashi Choeling Monastery is juvenile; it was built only in 2006 being opened just a few years earlier. Its purpose is to preserve the Neydo tradition, which is a union of Mahamudra and Dzgochen practices. The monastery was founded by Karma Chagme Rinpoche who is believed to be the seventh reincarnate lama of the Neydo Kagyu tradition. Around 200 monks live and study in the monastery. It is less than an hour’s drive, from the heart of the city located in the southwest corner close to Pharping. The monastery’s location is fascinating as it is situated near the Asura Cave, where Guru Rinpoche known as Padmasambhava spent a lot of time in meditation ultimately attaining nirvana spreading positive energy throughout the area. The monastery has the biggest statue of Amitabha Buddha flanked by statues of Avaloketesvara - Buddha of Compassion and Vajrapani - protector and holder of the Buddha’s sacred teachings.
 
After the sightseeing tour, we will return back to the hotel.

On departure at hotel a khada will be offered to you symbolizing a safe journey back home. Khada is a traditional ceremonial scarf used in Nepal & Tibet. It symbolizes purity, goodwill, auspiciousness and compassion. It is usually made of silk. Khadas are usually white symbolizing the pure heart of the giver. The khada is a highly versatile gift. It can be presented at any festive occasions to a host or at weddings, births, graduations, arrivals and departure of guests etc. The Tibetans commonly give a kind acknowledgment of “Tashi Delek” (meaning good luck) at the time of presenting the khada. The Dalai Lama is known to offer Khada as a gift to diplomats, visitors, or other monks, which symbolizes purity of intention and the beginning of a relationship.
 
Our tour representative will transfer you to the International airport to connect the onward destination flight.
